- Improve Access Control Point at Mapes Road and Maryland 32: $6.1 million
The requested funding would upgrade an existing access control point at the intersection of Mapes Road and Maryland Route 32. This access control facility provides a main point of entry for employees entering Fort Meade from southern locations. This facility needs to be upgraded for efficiency purposes and to alleviate security concerns for Fort Meade.
- Improve Mapes Road Western section: $7.2 million
The requested funding would upgrade the western portion of Mapes Road. This is a main road for employees entering Fort Meade from western locations.
- Improve Cooper Avenue middle section: $5.6 million
The requested funding would upgrade the middle portion of Cooper Avenue. This is an essential road for employees entering Fort Meade from western locations.
